Note Investing

Good morning everybody, Chris Seveney with 7E investments and cohost of the good deeds note investing podcast. It's the Friday before the holiday weekend and hopefully traffic's not too bad today, but today I just want to talk about this time of year, just curious opinions of others.

If you've got a borrower who's been in delinquency during this time of year, do you wait until after the new year to either send a demand letter or continue with any type of collection effort during this time. Typically I do kinda pause around this time of year and just let things settle for a few weeks for I'd say most of my borrowers who might be delinquent.

Holiday Reprieve

But I was just curious out there what the industry norm is with people and if, you kinda keep it cool in this time where he just let everyone get through the holidays and not have them get that demand letter, you know, a week before the holiday season and stuff.

Just to add continuous stress on them because I'm sure a lot of people during this time might be tight for cash. And to add that during this time of year, probably not a pleasant feeling, but, uh, you know, you also, there's contract obligations that you have to maintain and manage as well.

So I can see the business side of things as well as the personal side. So I think it's a business decision by most people or for everybody, but, uh, give me feedback, curious what others do. So thanks for listening today and look forward to getting feedback on this and continuing discussion. Thanks and have a good day.
